Professor Tayfun Turgay completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul University. He received his MBA and PhD degrees from Boğaziçi University and Istanbul University respectively. He served as a consultant at the Prime Ministry and Head of Department at the State Planning Organization of the Republic of Turkey. He was appointed to the Turkish Air Force Foundation as an executive consultant and contributed to several military industry projects. He served as Undersecretary of the TRNC Prime Minister between 1999-2000. Professor Turgay also served as a Faculty Member, Institute Director, Vice Rector and Rector at various universities. He has been acting as the Rector of Netkent Mediterranean Research and Science University since September 2019.
