He has a Bachelor's degree in statistics. He continued his Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. He then graduated from Computer Engineering with a Master of Science degree. He has 32 years of experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications. He has managerial experience in Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Business Analysis, Agile, Marketing and Business Development departments. He worked as an editor for the Turkish translation of PMBOK 4th, PMBOK 5th and PMBOK 6th editions. He worked as a consultant in Turkish translation of the books Head First PMP and Learning Agile: Understanding Scrum, XP, Lean and Kanban. He has been a PMI member and volunteer since 2005. He was president of PMI Turkey in 2014. He is a graduate of PMI LIMC (Leaderhip Institute Master Class). He worked as a subject matter expert in the latest editions of PMI's PMCDF (Project Manager Competency Development Framework) and OPM (Organizational Project Management) books. He has translated the PMI Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct into Turkish. He continues to convey his knowledge and experience by participating as a speaker at various universities and international seminars. He teaches at ITU and Boğaziçi University as a visiting lecturer from time to time.
